Job Summary
Lone Star Lodge Resort and Marina is seeking organized and customer-oriented Store Clerks to assist with daily operations at our marina store. This role involves handling sales transactions, managing inventory, stocking merchandise, and assisting with boat reservations. Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide outstanding service to boaters and guests.
Key Responsibilities
Retail & Customer Service:
Greet and assist customers with purchases, providing product recommendations as needed.
Operate the cash register, process payments, and handle refunds or exchanges accurately.
Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries about store items and marina services.
Maintain a clean and organized store, ensuring displays are tidy and well-stocked.
Inventory Management & Stocking:
Keep track of store inventory, restocking items as needed.
Receive, check, and organize new stock shipments.
Monitor expiration dates on perishable items and rotate stock accordingly.
Assist in conducting inventory audits and reporting discrepancies to management.
Reservations & Administrative Duties:
Make, update, and adjust boat rental and slip reservations.
Process customer reservations using the marina’s booking system.
Communicate with dock staff and customers to ensure smooth check-ins and check-outs.
Provide information about marina amenities, policies, and local attractions.
General Duties & Teamwork:
Ensure store cleanliness, including sweeping, wiping down counters, and organizing storage areas.
Assist with marina events and promotions as needed.
Follow all safety and cash-handling procedures.
Work closely with the dock and marina staff to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to operate a cash register and handle transactions accurately.
Basic computer skills for managing reservations and inventory tracking.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
