Job Summary
Lone Star Lodge Resort and Marina is seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to serve as the first point of contact for guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing reservations, handling guest inquiries, and ensuring smooth check-in and check-out experiences. This role is essential to creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Services:
Greet guests upon arrival and provide a warm, friendly welcome.
Assist with check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately.
Address guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a professional manner.
Provide information about hotel amenities, services, local attractions, and special events.
Handle guest complaints with patience and escalate issues to management when necessary.
Reservations & Administrative Duties:
Manage room reservations via phone, email, and online booking systems.
Process payments, deposits, refunds, and invoices accurately.
Maintain an organized and updated record of guest information and bookings.
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure room readiness.
Keep front desk and lobby areas clean and well-presented at all times.
Laundry & Event Setup:
Assist with washing, drying, folding, and organizing hotel laundry as needed.
Ensure linens, towels, and other laundry items are stocked and ready for guest use.
Help with setting up tables, chairs, decorations, and other event materials as required.
Work with the events team to ensure smooth event operations.
Communication & Teamwork:
Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Relay guest requests to appropriate staff members (housekeeping, maintenance, etc.).
Stay informed about hotel policies, promotions, and special offers.
Assist in emergency situations by following hotel protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or front desk roles is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using hotel reservation systems and basic computer programs.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Physical ability to lift and move supplies for laundry and event setup.
Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
